St. Margaret’s Early Childhood School Director Cris Lozon was a presenter at the National Association of Episcopal Schools’ Biennial Conference, which took place last week in San Antonio.

Dr. Lozon was part of a presentation titled “Management, Messaging and Mission: How ECE Programs Have Navigated the Pandemic.” She was joined by Tiffany Jureczki, head of school at St. Helena’s Episcopal School; and Ashley Miles, former head of school at St. David’s Episcopal School.

Dr. Lozon’s presentation discussed St. Margaret’s Early Childhood School and how it kept true to its Mission and Episcopal identity throughout the pandemic.

“It was a great opportunity to share with other directors and early-childhood educators in Episcopal schools about honoring young children in their development and keeping true to the basic tenets of respecting the dignity and unique worth of every human being, which includes understanding how young children learn in the context of authentic and organic activities,” Dr. Lozon said.

The NAES supports, serves and advocates for the vital work and ministry of nearly 1,200 Episcopal schools in the United States—including St. Margaret’s--by providing essential services, resources, conferences and networking opportunities. The organization’s biennial conference is the premier gathering of Episcopal school leaders.
