Tartan Girls Volleyball Battles Back to Down Stallions 3-2

St. Margaret's picked up a big non-league win against San Juan Hills Wednesday evening.
St. Margaret's girls volleyball program erased a two-set deficit to defeat San Juan Hills High School 3-2 in non-league action Wednesday night at home. The Tartans clawed their way to a 25-21 third-set victory and never looked back.
 
St. Margaret's recovered quickly after the Stallions jumped out to a two-set margin and were led by Emerson Tingler's .750 hitting efficiency with nine kills on 12 swings and no errors. Brady Moseley kept the Tartans in the match with 23 kills and hitting .255, while Leila Rooney came off the bench to contribute nine kills.
 
"I was very proud of how hard the team fought and just hung around and gave themselves a chance," said head coach Bob Yoder. "They found a way to improve their play throughout the match and finished strong."
 
St. Margaret's will jump right back into it, facing Orange Coast League opponent Costa Mesa on Thursday, Sept. 1 on the road.
