Girls Golf Wins First Match of the Season, First Match in the Orange Coast League

The Tartans girls golf team, in their first match back after winning a CIF Championship in 2021, handily defeated Costa Mesa High School 213-303 at San Juan Hills Golf Course on Tuesday.  The team was led by team captain Gabby Eifrig, who with three birdies and four pars, turned in an impressive one under par score of 35. Also contributing to the Tartans' victory were returning players Madison Lewis and Rianne Ke who scored 45 and 43, respectively. Jessica Liu and Amber Lin, both freshmen playing in their first official matches ever, also turned in impressive cards with scores of 43 and 47, respectively.  With the victory, the Tartans girls golf program began its membership in the Orange Coast League strong and looks forward to continued success when they play Wednesday on the road against Orange High School.
