Jack Hanna Qualifies for CIF Individual Tennis Finals
Hanna will begin play on May 25 for the title.
Jack Hanna defeated Ethan Kim of Portola High 6-3,7-6 Thursday, winning the CIF-SS Boys Individual Tennis Sectional. In an earlier round, Hanna downed Ian MacLaughlin of Laguna Beach 6-3, 6-0.
With the win, Hanna qualifies for the CIF Individual Tennis Finals, which start on Wednesday, May 25, at the Whittier Narrows Tennis Center in South El Monte.
"Jack played at a very high level yesterday. His two opponents were very accomplished tennis players, and Jack was able to handle them," said St. Margaret's head coach Scott Lipsky. "I am excited to see him compete next week in the CIF Finals against the other elite tennis players in the CIF Southern Section."
