Tartan Volleyball Comes Up Big Against JSerra

St. Margaret's defeated the Lions 3-1 on Thursday evening.
The Tartan volleyball team picked up a substantial non-league win against JSerra High School on Thursday evening, downing the Lions 3-1 (25-19, 26-24, 20-25, 25-20).
 
St. Margaret's were led by outside hitters Reed Wainwright and Russell Frye with 22 and 13 kills, respectively. Shane Aitken tallied 32 assists and seven digs while TJ Pavia notched a team-high ten digs. Luke Balint (6 blocks) and Dylan Johnson (5 blocks) were defensive stalwarts for the Tartans.
 
Head coach Bob Yoder noted the passing efficiency of the Tartans kept St. Margaret's in control and remarked, "It was a solid overall team effort that overcame a couple of outstanding individual players from JSerra."
 
The Tartans return to the court on March 5 to participate in the Chadwick Tournament.
