St. Margaret’s Lower School moved its traditional Thursday morning Chapel outdoors to the flagpoles outside the Performing Arts Center, for a special commemoration of Veterans Day.
The Chapel included a homily about Veterans Day by St. Margaret’s Chaplain Father James Livingston, prayers recited by Lower School students, and a ceremonial raising of the American flag by Lower School students in Cub Scouts pack 757.
In addition to Thursday’s Chapel, the Lower School commemorated Veterans Day throughout the week. The Monday Chapel video featured an interview with St. Margaret’s security officer and U.S. military veteran Matt Schauf, and each class decorated a box and wrote letters to be shared with the VA hospital in Long Beach, which will be delivered by PTF volunteers.
