Tartan Tennis Duo Wins San Joaquin League Doubles Tournament
Angela Liu and Kate Purpura claimed the title for St. Margaret's on Thursday.
St. Margaret's tennis doubles squad of Kate Purpura and Angela Liu were crowned San Joaquin League Doubles Champions at Sage Hill School Thursday evening. The duo defeated Sage Hill 6-2, 6-3 in the semi-finals before downing Pacifica Christian 6-0, 6-4 in the finals.
With the victory, Liu and Purpura advance to the CIF Regional Tournament, slated for Monday, November 22.
