Gabby Eifrig Advances in CIF-SS Individual Golf Tournament
Eifrig tied for 11th in the Individual Regional Wednesday.
Tartan golfer Gabby Eifrig shot a 76 en route to an 11th place finish out of 140 southern section golfers in the opening round of the CIF-SS Individual Tournament at Western Hills Golf & Country Club on Wednesday. Eifrig shot an even-par 35 on the front with two birdies and two bogeys, while on the back she had five pars and four bogeys for a four par side of 41. The finish sets Eifrig up to compete in the CIF-SS Individual Finals on Thursday, Nov. 4, at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard.
"Gabby's short game and putting were truly remarkable," said head coach Rocky Parker. "While others seemed bothered by the challenging course, Gabby embraced it as a true test of golf."
The Tartan golf program, which captured the San Joaquin League title with a 9-1 record, will also compete in the CIF-SS Team Divisional round at El Prado Golf Course on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
