Tartan Volleyball Closes out League Slate With Win Over CVCS

St. Margaret's battled to a 3-0 win on the road Tuesday evening.
St. Margaret's girls volleyball program completed an undefeated run through the San Joaquin League on Tuesday evening, defeating CVCS on the road 3-0.

The team faced a tenacious Eagles squad that gave the Tartans all they could handle in the third game. However, St. Margaret's ultimately prevailed behind the strong serves of Carlyle Grumet and Brady Moseley. Moseley and Nikki Swenson both contributed 14 kills in the three-set win, while first-time starter Caroline Otterbein hit .400 with five kills in 10 attempts.

The Tartans will take on San Juan Hills High School in a non-league contest on Friday, Oct. 15 at 5 p.m. at SJHHS. The match is St. Margaret's last regular-season outing before CIF-SS postseason play begins on Oct. 21.
