Bryan Wallace Named Head Boys Soccer Coach at St. Margaret's

Wallace brings a wealth of professional and club experience to the program.
St. Margaret's announces today the appointment of Bryan Wallace as head coach of the Tartan boys soccer program.

Wallace, currently the director of boys academy programs at Southern California's Liverpool Football Club International Academy, joins St. Margaret's with an impressive resume of international and local professional coaching experience. Wallace served as an assistant coach of Shijiazhuang Ever Bright of the Chinese First Division from 2016-2017 and head coach and Director of Operations for Orange County Football Club of the U.S. National Premier League from 2015-2016.

At the collegiate level, Wallace was an assistant at the University of California, Irvine from 2007-2010 and Cal Poly Pomona from 2006-2007.

Alongside his duties as Boys Academy Director at LFCIA, Wallace serves as head coach for boys teams in the 2003, 2004 and 2006 age groups. Prior to LFCIA, Wallace was the Technical Director at Arsenal FC Development Youth Academy in SoCal from 2017-2018 and head coach and College Placement Director at West Coast FC from 2014-2016. Wallace's WCFC boys 2002 team rose to the No. 1 ranking in the nation. From 2004-2014 Wallace headed the United Futbol Club as Director and Head Coach, where he won three Cal South State National Cup Championships, a Regional Championship and Dallas Cup Championship.

Wallace holds a United States Soccer Federation A and B license and has attended international coaching symposiums in Spain, Holland, Belgium, France, South Korea and China. In addition, Wallace was named the 2012 Cal South Competitive Coach of the Year and listed by the Orange County Tribune as one of Orange County's "Most Influential People" in 2008.

"Coach Wallace is an incredible addition to our athletic department," said St. Margaret's Director of Athletics Chris Nordstrom. "His experience and success are only outweighed by his ability to use soccer as a platform for building character in his athletes."

"I am thrilled and honored that St Margaret's has chosen me to take over the boys soccer program," said Coach Wallace. "My goal is to build on the foundation that has been established and take the program to greater heights. I'm honored that I get to be a part of that with these athletes and the St. Margaret's community."
