St. Margaret’s cinematic arts program showcased 44 student films created during the school year at the annual Spring Film Festival.

The films ranged from one minute long to more than seven minutes, and all were conceptualized, filmed and edited by Middle School and Upper School students. This year’s Spring Film Festival was virtual, with viewers able to browse at their leisure and vote for the Audience Choice Awards before Monday’s deadline.

“This year the cinematic arts students at St. Margaret’s went out of their way to create quirky and dramatic films of all genres,” St. Margaret’s film teacher Karen Bennett said. “I couldn’t be more proud of their humor and artistry during this trying time.”

The Spring Film Festival had two Audience Choice Award winners—sophomore Emmy Perry, who was the Upper School Audience Choice Award winner for her film “The Portrait,” and grade 7 student Mac Ullem, who won the Middle School Audience Choice Award for his film “Dog Tricks”
