St. Margaret's Track and Field Squads Shine at OC Championships

The Tartans posted great results this past weekend.
St. Margaret's track & field teams represented well at the 2021 Asics Orange County Track & Field Championships on Saturday, May 15.
 
Jackson Adelman had a big day, breaking St. Margaret's 11-year-old record in the 800m. Jackson bested the previous mark of 1:56.90 with a 1:56.14 at Mission Viejo Stadium.
 
Makenna Lizarde moved to No. 3 all-time in school history in the 200m with an impressive time of 26.22, while Sophia Kistler improved her 400m time to 1:03.22. Ali Botuchis improved her personal best by 21 seconds, clocking a 12:30.64 in the 3200m.
 
Derek Smith rounded out the Tartan competitors, netting a 19'4.5 mark in the long jump and an 11.65 time in the 100m. Both marks put Derek at the top of the league in both events.
 
The Tartans will next compete in the League Prelims at The Webb Schools on Thursday, May 20.
