Girls Soccer Dominant in Quarterfinal Win

The Tartans downed Valley Christian 3-0 on Tuesday.
St. Margaret's continued its 2021 CIF SS Girls Soccer Div. IV postseason run, defeating visiting Valley Christian 3-0 Tuesday afternoon. The No. 7 Tartans opened the second half with a goal by Avery Ainsworth and never looked back, keeping the No. 2 Defenders on their heels the rest of the half. Megan Kenner and Julia Olosky rounded out the scoring for St. Margaret's, while netminder Riley Long recorded her second clean sheet of the postseason.
 
The Tartans look to avenge their first-round exit from the playoffs in 2020 and will take on El Segundo High School on the road on Saturday, May 22. The semifinal game will kick off at 5 p.m.
