St. Margaret's Girls Soccer Keeps Postseason Alive with Second-Round Win
The Tartans defeated Santa Paula 2-0 on May 14.
The Tartans will move on to the Quarterfinals of the CIF Div. IV girls soccer playoffs after defeating visiting Santa Paula High School 2-0 on May 14.
St. Margaret's was led by Julia Olosky's two second-half goals to put the Tartans on top. Goalkeeper Riley Long kept a determined Santa Paula squad at bay all afternoon.
"Friday's match was exciting from start to finish. Santa Paula was feisty, aggressive, and competitive, which was a good test for our mentality," said head coach Jennifer Anderson-Hammond. "Julia Olosky made the most out of her opportunities in the second half and was able to lead the team to victory and into the CIF Quarterfinals."
The Tartans will host Valley Christian in the CIF Div. IV Quarterfinals on Tuesday, May 18.
