St. Margaret's Sinks Sage Hill 3-1 in Boys Volleyball
The Tartans dominated in the final three sets in the win.
St. Margaret's boys volleyball program defeated Sage Hill School 3-1 on the road on Thursday. The Tartans quickly rebounded from a 22-25 first set loss to beat the Lightning in three straight sets, 25-18, 25-19, 26-24.
St. Margaret's offense was paced by outside hitters Russel Frye and Nick Saunders and opposite hitter Reed Wainwright. Frye and Saunders each contributed 12 kills, with Wainwright leading the team with 18 kills.
The Tartan defense was led by senior Max Maryott, who had the best passer rating on the team and led with 26 digs.
The Tartans will take their 1-1 league record to match up against visiting Orangewood Academy on April 22 at 4:30 p.m.
