With Love! Upper School Tartans Make Personalized Valentines for Every Lower School Student

The cards were written last week during Advisory and delivered to each of the Lower School classrooms on Tuesday.
St. Margaret’s on-campus learners in the Upper School took on a big task recently—hand-writing personalized Valentine’s Day cards for every single Lower School student.
 
The cards were written last week during Advisory and delivered, along with a pencil, to each of the Lower School classrooms on Tuesday. The project was organized by Upper School Director of Community Life Lora Allison and student leaders.
 
St. Margaret’s prioritizes cross-divisional connections, and several mainstay programs are in place to bring students of different ages together for learning and community-building. The current school guidelines requires students to stay in cohorts, making cross-divisional touchpoints more challenging. Yet through long-distance outreach like this, opportunities to connect with Tartans in different divisions have continued.
 
“We are so thankful to the Upper School for this loving and sweet gesture,” said Tupper Spring, Lower School director of community life.
