Cinematic Arts Student Work Showcased at Winter Film Festival
More than 40 films were part of the Winter Film Festival, ranging from less than a minute to more than five minutes in length.
St. Margaret’s talented Upper School and Middle School filmmakers were showcased in St. Margaret’s annual Winter Film Festival, which took place virtually and concluded this week with the announcement of the two audience choice winners.
More than 40 films were part of the Winter Film Festival, ranging from less than a minute to more than five minutes in length. Viewers were encouraged to vote for audience choice award winners, with 431 votes submitted from friends, families and classmates.
The Upper School winner was sophomore Emmy Perry for her film Body & Soul, which was recently named a semifinalist in the New York Cinematography Awards.
The Middle School winner was grade 7 student Lucas Monge for the film Let Me On!
Each winner received an Amazon gift card.
The films were created in St. Margaret’s various cinematic arts classes, taught by film teacher Karen Bennett. Film is a visual-arts elective students can choose starting in grade 7.
