Upper School Student Film Honored as Semifinalist in New York Cinematography Awards

Body & Soul and several other films made in St. Margaret’s cinematic arts classes will be showcased at the annual Winter Film Festival on January 28. 
St. Margaret’s Upper School sophomore Emmy Perry’s film Body & Soul was recently honored as a semifinalist in the New York Cinematography Awards. 

Emmy wrote, directed and edited the film as part of her fall-semester work in introduction to film, a class taught by Karen Bennett. Body & Soul is under consideration in several other film festivals, as well. 

The New York Cinematography Awards is a monthly film competition for filmmakers worldwide, which culminates with annual awards ceremony in New York City in August.

Body & Soul and several other films made in St. Margaret’s cinematic arts classes will be showcased at the annual Winter Film Festival, which will take place remotely on January 28.
