With a panel of technology experts and past Tartan Tank winners offering feedback, St. Margaret’s grade 7 student Katie Meggers presented her Tartan Tank entrepreneurial prototype via Zoom.

Her platform “Connected” allows tablets to communicate with one another for gaming purposes. Connected can be used on different types of devices, and she demonstrated by playing a simple game that worked simultaneously on both an Apple and Android device together.

The traditional Tartan Tank presentations this spring were canceled, but Katie wanted to further pursue her product. Providing feedback at her presentation were Upper School students Espen Garner and Sasha Kuljis, who both won the Tartan Tank competition in Middle School, along with St. Margaret’s technology specialists Jason Tapie and Aaron Kirkendoll, and Middle School science teacher Eric Harrington.

“Katie did a great job on her prototype, and I was proud of her for having the courage to present it and pursue it further,” Mr. Harrington. “We were all very impressed.”
