St. Margaret’s Junior Isabel Lim Named Semifinalist for OC Register Artist of the Year
Isabel is one of 12 semifinalists out of 78 nominations in computer-assisted visual arts, which includes the specialties of computer drawing and painting, photography and graphic design and illustration.
St. Margaret’s junior Isabel Lim has been named a semifinalist for the 2020 Artist of the Year by the Orange County Register.
Isabel is one of 12 semifinalists out of 78 nominations in computer-assisted visual arts, which includes the specialties of computer drawing and painting, photography and graphic design and illustration.
She is one of four semifinalists specializing in photography.
“Isabel is a talented and dedicated artist and student who is open-minded and works well in peer, small group, and larger group settings. Isabel’s talents are multitudinous, however are most proficient in digital photography. She offers a keen eye for design elements and principles which are expressed in meaningful ways,” Upper School photography teacher Amanda Albanese said in nominating Isabel.
Isabel will be interviewed by a panel of distinguished artistic professionals and faculty members for the next round, with the Artists of the Year to be announced sometime this summer.
