Community Art Project for All Tartans: Create and Share Your Rose Window Art

As a sign of peace, hope and community, we encourage all Tartans to share your Rose Window by displaying it in a window of your home or on social media.
For the St. Margaret’s community, the stained glass Rose Window above the altar shining brilliant light into the nave of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church is a sacred symbol of grace, peace and God’s unconditional love for all people. As many in our community are celebrating Easter and Passover this week and especially as we continue social distancing efforts, we share this Rose Window coloring sheet (click here) for students and all members of our community to create your own personal Rose Window as an art activity and one for meditation and personal reflection.

Some may color their Rose Window with crayons, pencils, markers or paint, or others can use this .jpg file (click here) to create a graphic design program, like Photoshop, or a coloring app for your phone or tablet, like Recolor and Colorfy, which offer free versions to download.

As a sign of peace, hope and community, we encourage all Tartans to share your Rose Window by displaying it in a window of your home or on social media. Let the Rose Window continue to shine light into our hearts and the world right now!  Tag St. Margaret’s on Instagram @smtartans, Facebook @SMEStartans and Twitter @SMTartans, and use #myrosewindow #TartansTogether
