St. Margaret’s Chaplain Mother K.C. Ordained Into Priesthood
Mother K.C. was ordained by The Right Reverend John Harvey Taylor, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.
St. Margaret’s Chaplain The Reverend K.C. Robertson was ordained into priesthood at the at St. John’s Cathedral in Los Angeles last weekend. Mother K.C. was one of eight priests ordained by The Right Reverend John Harvey Taylor, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles who is also chairman of the St. Margaret’s Episcopal School Board of Trustees.
For Mother K.C., it was a six-year journey of preparation, discernment, interviews, retreats, training and schooling. She described the ordination as “the final public step in this journey of saying yes to a call into the priesthood.”
Mother K.C. is in her first year as a St. Margaret’s chaplain. Several members of the church and school community attended the ordination, including Head of Chaplains The Rev. Canon Robert Edwards and Head of School Will Moseley.
“The support and encouragement from the St. Margaret’s family has been so generous and such a joy,” Mother K.C. said. “To start this next chapter as a priest here at St. Margaret’s with such incredible mentorship and community is wonderful. I truly feel blessed.”
