St. Margaret's Equestrian Program Continues to Impress

The Tartans are No. 3 after the penultimate competition weekend.
St. Margaret's equestrian program currently sits at No. 3 overall in OCIEL competition as the season draws to a close on January 18-19.

Individually, rider Whitney Riley is ranked No. 3 overall in JV equitation over fences, No. 4 In JV working hunters, No. 2 in equitation on the flat and No. 1 in hunter undersaddle. Julia Pintar is currently ranked No. 3 in varsity equitation and working hunter, and remains No. 4 in hunter undersaddle.

"St. Margaret's has a much smaller program due to enrollment. Despite this, we hold our own consistently," said head coach Cassie Frost. " Our riders are doing great, and we are looking forward to the final two days of competition this weekend."

Dressage:
Lisa Zhang - second in intro tests.
Dylan Pruitt - No. 4 and No. 3 in training tests.

JV Jumpers:
Chloe Thompson debuted in the JV jumpers receiving a 3rd in the optimum time jumper class and a 4th in the jump-off course.

Varsity Hunter and Equitation:
Julia Pintar - second in equitation class, and won both hunter classes, and was 5th in the OCIEL medal. Pintar captured overall reserve champion in the varsity division.

1/12 Results:

Dressage:
Dylan Pruitt - No. 3 in both training tests.

JV Jumpers:
Chloe Thompson - No. 3 in all four jumper classes.

Varsity Hunter and Equitation:
Julia Pintar - No. 2 in equitation class, No. 4 in hunter over fences class while coming back and winning the hunter under saddle class. Pintar was No. 6 in both equitation on the flat and the OCIEL Medal class. ​Pintar again won overall reserve champion in the varsity division.
