Tartan Volleyball Continues to Roll Through Second Half of Season

St. Margaret's momentum builds after back-to-back wins against Sage Hill
The CIF-SS Div. III No. 7 Tartans are eying a deep playoff run after four straight wins, including two against league rival Sage Hill. St. Margaret's appears to be in fine mid-season form as it approaches the final three league games of the season.

St. Margaret's downed Sage Hill 3-1 on the road to sweep the league series 2-0 on Oct. 1. Emmy Flornes again led the Tartans with 22 kills while Liv Hale (11 kills) and Mary Collier (4 aces) helped put the Lightning away.

"At 18-6, we've had a great season thus far winning the Portola Hills tournament, a finals appearance at Dave Mohs Division 2, and two good wins against our rival Sage Hill," said head coach Joaquin Acosta. "The group has recovered nicely after a tough stretch led by the steady play of our seniors. The team is playing with good rhythm and confidence as we head into the final stretch of the season."

The Tartans return to the court on Tuesday, Oct. 8 to face Southlands Christian.
