Good evening SMES surfers & parents of surfers,
 
You are receiving this email because you have expressed interest in participating in the upcoming SMES Surf Team season. If plans have changed and you wish to be removed from this email list, please email me back and I will gladly remove you from the Surf Team roster and future emails.
 
This is a quick email is to invite you to Save the Dates of two important upcoming events:
1)      Parent meeting (Optional for surfers; Tuesday, October 1st ; 6:00pm – about 7:00pm in my classroom Sillers Hall #310; (This is in lieu of us meeting later at the school’s Winter Team meeting, October 14th)
2)      Surf tryout & ocean safety swim test (Thursday, October 3rd ; Salt Creek 4:00pm – 5:00pm ; meet suited up and ready to surf on the sand at the bottom of the path in front of “Middles” Please DO NOT go in the water until you have checked in with me, Coach Soderin)
 
*I will send another email out later this week with important forms and website links to fill out.*
 
SURFERS- Since we are primarily an off campus team, communication & acting responsible IN and OUT of the ocean is a HUGE part of being a member of the SMES Surf Team. As the FIRST part of your tryout this year, please respond to this email and let me know if:
1)      your parent(s) can make the meeting Tuesday the 1st, and
2)      if you plan to come to the tryout day next Thursday the 3rd, (attending the tryout is optional for returning surfers)
