Tartan Tennis Focused on a Strong Start to the Season

St. Margaret's tennis program starts 1-0 in league play.
The 3-1 (1-0 league) Tartans have hit the ground running to start the 2019 campaign. Bolstered by wins against Canyon (12-6), Connelly (16-2) and Crean Lutheran (11-7), St. Margaret's is looking to improve on a 10-6 record in 2018 and make a deep run in postseason play.

St. Margaret's boasts two strong individual players in Seychelle Balog and Audrey Harrington who remain undefeated in early-season play. The Tartans will look to take the momentum into week two of league play, facing off against Fairmont Prep, Sage Hill and Webb.

"It's been a great start to the season with some big league matches coming up next week," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "We have been focusing in practice on our doubles play, so I am hoping for some significant contributions from all the doubles teams next week."

The Tartans will return to the court Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 3:30 p.m. to face Fairmont Prep at Saddleback College.
