Tartan Alumna Nicole Fava ’15 Shares Her Performing Arts Experiences With Theater and Dance Students
Nicole shared her wisdom with the Upper School’s intermediate theater and advanced dance classes.
St. Margaret’s alumna Nicole Fava ’15 completed her musical theater degree at the University of Mississippi this spring and is embarking on a full-time career as an actress and performer.
But first, Nicole made a visit to St. Margaret’s to share her wisdom with the Upper School’s intermediate theater and advanced dance classes she once was a student in.
In theater, Nicole joined Upper School performing arts teacher Dan Pacheco for a Q&A to discuss her pursuit of theater after high school, speaking of her time in college and how she built a resume in preparation for a post-college acting career.
Nicole particularly emphasized how much she benefited from working with seasoned professional directors and performers during her summer stock appearances, and the hard work summer stock theater entailed—often rehearsing one show during the day and performing another show at night.
The next day, Nicole joined an advanced dance class taught by Kirsten Harvey, teaching the students choreography from the musical A Chorus Line before engaging in conversation with the students about her pursuit of dance and performing arts after her time at St. Margaret’s.
Nicole was heavily involved in theater and dance at St. Margaret’s before matriculating to the University of Mississippi. After graduating from Mississippi, she spent this summer working as a professional actress, singer and dancer at the Maine State Music Theater, performing in shows such as Hello, Dolly, Grease! and TheWizard of Oz.
