Senior Zane Handy Commits to Study and Play Lacrosse at Illinois Institute of Technology

Handy joins nineteen fellow senior student-athletes who committed to a wide range of colleges and universities during the fall, winter and current signing periods.
St. Margaret's Episcopal School is pleased to announce that Zane Handy has committed to continue his academic and lacrosse careers at NCAA Division-III Illinois Institue of Technology in Chicago.

Handy is a three-year starting goalkeeper and member of the 2018 U.S. Lacrosse Orange County Champion Tartan lacrosse team. In 2018, Handy was named Second Team U.S. Lacrosse and OCVarsity All-Orange County for his performance between the pipes for the Tartans.

Handy has also volunteered his time with Special Camp for Special Kids at St. Margaret's.

"I am so happy for Zane," said St. Margaret's head lacrosse coach Glen Miles. "He has been one of the hardest working players that we've had here at St. Margaret's. Illinois Tech is a great school, and he is following his dreams academically. He is going to be a huge asset to their lacrosse program."

Handy, who will be joining the Scarlet Hawks' inaugural men's lacrosse team in 2019-2020 will look to make an immediate impact in goal and as an architecture major at Illinois Tech.
