Tartan Tennis Downs Webb 13-5, Secures Spot in Postseason

St. Margaret's closed out its league schedule with a 6-2 record.
St. Margaret's boys tennis program traveled to Upland to face off against The Webb School, bringing home a 13-5 victory. The win secures the CIF-SS Division II No. 9 Tartans a spot in the postseason with a 6-2 record in the San Joaquin League and 11-3 overall.

The Tartans posted individual wins from Jack Hanna (3-0) and Logan Wojcik (2-1). St. Margaret's doubles teams of Jack Nolet and Gray Dow (3-0), Charles Ihara and Shawn Chen (2-1) and Reid Graham and Nirmay Nanjappa (1-0) contributed in the win.

“This win was a good improvement over our 9-9 (70-59) win a few weeks ago. The boys knew it was a big match for us because it guaranteed us a spot in the CIF playoffs," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "The energy was great from all the boys and they took care of business in a spot that can be a tricky place to play. I am proud of how everyone had improved and bought into the team concept throughout the season and we are all excited about what's still ahead of us."

The Tartans will finish the regular season away against JSerra on Tuesday, April 23.
