‘A Place of Wonder’ – Preschool Outdoor Classroom Spotlighted by National Organization

The Outdoor Classroom Project highlighted many learning avenues within the classroom, including the recent ramp project and student work in the garden.
St. Margaret’s Ingrid S. Andrews Outdoor Classroom in the Early Childhood Development Center was recently spotlighted by The Outdoor Classroom Project newsletter, an initiative of the Child Educational Center.

“The preschool’s practices and philosophy continue to embrace the qualities and standards of the Outdoor Classroom Project, and we are very pleased to spotlight this wonderful center and program,” the organization wrote.

St. Margaret’s outdoor classroom was certified in 2013 as an Outdoor Classroom Project Demonstration Site, the first in Orange County.

The story highlights the many projects and possibilities within the classroom, including the recent Preschool ramp project, student work in the garden and even future plans for the Outdoor Classroom.

“The Outdoor Classroom at St. Margaret’s Early Childhood Development Center is a place of wonder where children and adults experience a world of unexpected surprises,” the organization wrote.
