St. Margaret's Soccer Programs Set for Semifinal Showdowns

Both boys and girls soccer teams look to advance to the CIF-SS Finals by winning on Saturday.
The Tartans soccer programs will continue incredible seasons this weekend, appearing in the CIF-SS Semifinals on Saturday.

The boys team, having defeated Summit High School 2-0 on Wednesday, will face Nogales High on the road at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16. The Tartans were led against Summit by scorers Tómas Anderson Comas and Chris Vartanian, assisted by Robbie Graham and Luke Linaweaver respectively.

The girls will take on Hemet High at home at 5 p.m. after shutting out Beverly Hills 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon. Lauren Otterbein, Taylor Nock, Elle Kang and Juliet Ballard all tallied goals for the Tartans in the win, which also marked head coach Johnny Marmelstein's 500th career win.
