St. Margaret's Outlasts Opponents, Moves to Soccer Quarterfinals

Both Tartan soccer programs overcame tough opponents to stay alive in the CIF-SS Playoffs.
he St. Margaret's soccer programs moved on to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs after defeating two talented teams this past weekend.
 
Girls soccer needed overtime to solve a determined Los Altos High defense, claiming the 2-1 golden-goal victory on Friday afternoon. Ella Kang nabbed the player of the match with a goal midway through the second half and assisting on Jasper Adams' game-winner.
 
The Tartans will face Beverly Hills High on Tartan Field Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m.
 
Boys soccer overcame a 2-1 deficit at the half to down Oak Hills High 4-2 on Saturday afternoon. The Tartans received goals from Chris Vartanian, Tomas Anderson Comas, Sean Sullivan and Robbie Graham and assists from Vartanian and Luke Linaweaver.
 
St. Margaret's will hit the road to take on Summit High School on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Gametime is TBA, please consult the athletic website for full details.
