St. Margaret's Names Bryan Fournier Head Coach of Girls Flag Football Program

Fournier brings a wealth of experience developing youth flag football programs to the school.
St. Margaret's is pleased to announce the appointment of Bryan Fournier as the school's inaugural head coach of girls flag football, which will debut in 2026.

Fournier comes to St. Margaret's from Irvine's Conquer Chargers Flag Football Club, where he has served as club director since 2023 and head coach since 2022. The Conquer Chargers are the official girls flag football club of the Los Angeles Chargers and feature 17 teams comprised of 150 girls from throughout Southern California.

"I'm incredibly honored to join St Margaret's," said coach Fournier. "My mission has always been to develop confident, disciplined players who compete with passion and integrity. Watching them grow on and off the field is the most rewarding part of this journey."

Fournier's teams have achieved six regional championships with top-5 national finishes at NFL Flag Nationals from 2023-2025 at the 10U, 12U and 14U age divisions. He also coached two USA Football 15U National Team players and 10 West Coast Select Team athletes. Fournier has also coached at University High School as the varsity defensive line coach and the head freshman football coach.

Fournier played football locally at Woodbridge High School and moved on to compete at NCAA Div. III Tufts University. Fournier holds a B.A. in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.

"Coach Fournier brings a wealth of experience, strong leadership, and a proven track record of success in Orange County girls flag football," said St. Margaret's Director of Athletics Dan O'Shea. "He has been at the forefront of this ever-expanding sport with local teams, and we are confident that his vision will elevate our program while providing a phenomenal experience for our student-athletes. We are thrilled to welcome Bryan and his family to the Tartan athletic community."

The Tartans will begin girls' flag football competition in the middle school in the spring of 2026, with high school competition starting in the fall of 2026.
