CALLING ALL GIRLS AND YOUNG WOMEN, GRADES 4-12, FROM THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA!

Help create the future. We can’t do it without you! If you are a bonafide STEAM girl, or you just want to check it out and learn more about science, technology, engineering, arts and math, please come out for this action-packed, fun-filled day of hands-on activities and connecting with inspiring STEAM women!

2019 GIRLS IN STEAM Will:

IGNITE passions in our girls to see themselves as changemakers and leaders in STEAM.

EXPLORE STEAM fields of study and career avenues using engaging hands-on workshops, speakers, breakout sessions, and panel discussions with experts from SpaceX, Google and Blizzard Entertainment.

IDEATE using innovation and problem-solving skills to develop solutions for design challenges, programming & robotics, an escape room and more!

LAUNCH our young women to the larger communities of women in STEAM by linking them to a network of positive female role models.

Schools and groups from Orange County, Los Angeles and San Diego: consider sending a delegation of girls!  Girls in grades 4-8 will need to be accompanied by an adult.  Girls in grades 9-12 may attend independently.
Please contact Dr. Jennifer Ross-Viola, St. Margaret’s STEAM Fellow, to join the Girls in STEAM mailing list and for more information on attendance and participation.
