Based on George Orwell's novel, Animal Farm is a scathing satire on a downtrodden society’s blind march towards totalitarianism. When Animal Farm was first published, Stalinist Russia was seen as its target. Today it is devastatingly clear that wherever and whenever freedom is attacked, under whatever banner, the cutting clarity and savage comedy of George Orwell’s masterpiece have a meaning and message still ferociously fresh.
 
This production in the McGregor Family Theater feautres 21 Upper School students in the cast as well as many MS and US technical crew members led by senior Stephanie Amoukhteh. The show runs 90 minutes with no Intermission. Rated PG for themes and stylized violence.
