St. Margaret's was relentless on the court in the postseason win.
The Tartans were in top form as they took on Costa Mesa High School in the first round of the Cif-SS Division IV volleyball playoffs, winning 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-15). St. Margaret's was led by Gracyn Benck's 14 kills and four aces. The Tartans also received stellar play from Live Hale (five kills, two aces), Mary Collier (six aces, two kills) and Tatum Westendorf (five kills) and were anchored defensively by the solid play of Avery Clarke and Jessica Clute.
“We had a good match tonight versus Costa Mesa. We had some bright spots defensively out of Avery Clarke and Jessica Clute, and hitting out of the middle with Tatum Westendorf," said Head Coach Joaquin Acosta. "We hope to carry the momentum from this match into the next round of CIF. "
