In World Team Tennis competition, Lipsky reached the 2016 Finals with the Orange County Breakers, and competed for the Boston Lobsters (2014-2015) and the New York Buzz (2006).

At Stanford, Lipsky was a member of the Cardinal 2000 NCAA Champion tennis team that finished in the top-10 nationally from 1999-2003. "I am excited for the new and exciting opportunity to work with the student-athletes at St Margaret’s. It is a school with extremely high standards in academics and athletics. I hope to use my years of experience in tennis to take the reigns of the program and bring league and CIF championships to the school," said Coach Lipsky.

St. Margaret's Episcopal School Director of Athletics and Physical Education Patrick Bendzick said of the hire, “It is a rare opportunity for a high school team to work with a coach of this caliber on a daily basis. Scott has reached the pinnacle of the tennis world as a player at Stanford and in his professional career. It will be exciting to see him share that vast knowledge and experience with our students as we propel the program in this new direction.”

The Tartans will take the court for the first time under coach Lipsky this fall as the varsity girls start their season on Sept. 11.
