Boys Volleyball Has Strong Showing At Chadwick Tournament

The Tartans finished second against a wide range of opponents.
The St. Margaret's boys volleyball team traveled to Palos Verdes Peninsula to compete in the Chadwick School Volleyball Tournament this past weekend. The Tartans, currently ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Div. III, went 3-0 in the tournament's pool play before defeating Laguna Blanca, 25-15, in the semifinals.

Entering the tournament final, the Tartans engaged in a back-and-forth battle with Bishop Montgomery, before the Knights pulled away for the 25-22 championship win. Junior Ethan Hill led the team with 30 kills and earned All-Tournament honors. Senior Gavin Clarke consistently kept all hitters involved with the offense as a setter and also earned All-Tournament honors.

The Tartans look to continue improving over the last portion of the season before playoffs. St. Margaret's will return to the court on Wednesday, April 25 facing off against the Div. II No. 10-ranked San Juan Hills High School. Game time is slated for 5 p.m. in Pasternack Field House.
