Tartan Boys and Girls Lacrosse Both Ranked No. 1 in Orange County

Both the boys and girls lacrosse programs are ranked No. 1, each with only one loss as the regular season winds down.
The Tartans lacrosse programs have torn through the competition this spring with both the boys and girls teams ranked No.1 in Orange County.

The 14-1 boy's program is averaging 12.67 goals per game and has outscored opponents 190-97. The Tartans have shown their mettle defeating perennial out-of-conference powerhouses Loyola of Los Angeles (8-4), Poway of San Diego (9-7), Faith Lutheran of Las Vegas (15-5), De La Salle of Northern California (12-6) and Mt. St. Joseph of Maryland (11-8). St. Margaret's has cemented their No. 1 ranking on the home front as well, defeating talented Orange County opponents Corona Del Mar (15-3) and No. 2 Foothill (13-9).

The Tartans will close out the season on the road facing San Diego CIF 2017 Runner-Up Torrey Pines on Friday, April 20 and El Dorado High School on Tuesday, April 24.

The 11-1 girl's team has similarly ground through opponents this spring. With a conference-leading 15.33 goals per game and only 75 goals allowed, the Tartans are poised to make a deep run through the Southern Section playoffs. Their only loss coming to Novato of Northern California, St. Margaret's has beaten talented teams St. Ignatius Prep of San Francisco (16-9), 2017 U.S. Lacrosse Southern-Section Champions Mater Dei (12-10) and No. 4 Santa Margarita (16-4).

The Tartans will put their No. 1 ranking to the test as they take on No. 2 Foothill High School at home on Wednesday, April 25.
