Boys Lacrosse Remains Undefeated With Win Over Santa Margarita

The No 2-ranked St. Margaret's boys lacrosse team wasted no time getting the jump on No 5. Santa Margarita with four straight goals to open the first quarter on Wednesday night en route to a 12-3 victory at Rancho Santa Margarita. A strong defensive effort by the Tartans kept the Eagles' offense in check through the entire game, surrendering a lone goal in the second half.

The Tartan offense was led by Colby College commit Conrad Hampson (3g, 1a), Garrett Kuntz (2g, 2a), Andy Shin (3g) and Kevin Groeninger (2g). Trevor Peay and Gordon Larson added a goal each while Michael Chew notched two assists. Netminder Zane Handy faced only 13 shots on the night.

The 6-0 Tartans will host Nevada power Faith Lutheran on Friday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m.
