Tartan Scholar-Athletes Recognized by National Football Foundation
Seniors and varsity football players Michael Chew, Ryan Cragun, Marcus Knight and Max Martinez were honored at the Orange County chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame’s 48th Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet on Monday, March 12 at Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove.
The banquet honored 70 graduating Orange County high school and college football players for being All-League or All-Conference First Team while maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Tartan head football coach Kory Minor said about the group, "It was a great treat for me to see four amazing young men be recognized last Monday as student-athletes for their tremendous hard work on and off the field. The 70 young men that were honored, represent their school with dignity and pride. To have four of our St. Margaret’s student-athletes represented, shows how unique and exceptional of a place St. Margaret’s truly is."
The Tartans have consistently earned accolades from the National Football Hall of Fame including last year's honorees Alex Choi '16, Auston Locke '16, Chris Krantz '16 and Nick Krantz '16.
