Tartans Cruise to 54-2 Victory Over Crean Lutheran

St. Margaret's was unstoppable, racking up 436 total yards in the win at Irvine High Friday night.
The Tartans, behind a uncounterable offense, rolled over the Crean Lutheran Knights 54-2 last night at Irvine High School. Led by quarterback James Mott's 305 yards passing with four touchdowns through the air and one on the ground, the Tartans scored seemingly at will all night. Reciever Ryan Cragun, who is second in Orange County in receiving yards with 1,051, contributed 115 yards on six receptions with two touchdowns. Fellow receivers Roger Penske and Alex Lanham each notched a touchdown. On the ground, running back Marcus Knight was 11 for 93 rushing with two touchdowns. Alex Lanham capped the scoring for the Tartans with a six-yard run in the fourth quarter.
 
Defensively, the Tartans had an easy night holding Crean Lutheran to just 93 total yards. Langston Sholl had three tackles with four assists and one sack. End Jack Young recorded a sack while safety Will Kenner had an interception.
 
The Tartans will return to Tartan Field for Homecoming on Friday, November 3, where they will face off against Orange Vista.
