Tartan Lacrosse Programs Move on to U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section Semi-Finals

Both the boys and girls lacrosse teams won their second-round games to advance to the Southern Section semi-finals.
Both Tartan lacrosse programs advanced to the next round in the U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section playoffs Thursday evening with the boys defeating Santa Margarita 15-11 and the girls downing San Clemente 14-9.
 
The boys were led by Kevin Groeninger's four goals and face-off specialist Stuart Pollard's solid efforts at the x. The Tartans will square up against 2016 Southern Section Champions Corona Del Mar on Saturday, May 6 at Portola High School.
 
The girls were led by Maddie Barkate's five goals and Niki Miles's four goals as they soundly defeated a talented San Clemente Squad. The Tartans will face Mater Dei on Saturday, May 6, at Portola High School in the sem-final.
