Tartans Upend Crean Lutheran 49-7

St. Margaret's closed out the regular season with a 49-7 rout of the visiting Crean Lutheran Saints. With the win, the 8-2 Tartans will look to enter the CIF-SS playoffs and begin their quest for the school's seventh section championship.
 
The Tartan defense was stifling all evening, holding the Saints to just 175 total yards and recording three sacks (Duke Ballard, James Eidt and Max Martinez). Defensive back Ryan Cragun added an interception for the Tartans.
 
Making his first varsity start, sophomore quarterback James Mott was 10/13 passing with 184 yards and three touchdowns. Mott also contributed two rushing touchdowns of his own. Running back Nick Krantz had 156 yds rushing with two touchdowns, while receivers Ryan Cragun, Auston Locke and Marcus Knight each had catches for touchdowns.
 
CIF-SS football playoff pairings will be released at 8 A.M. on Sunday, November 6.
