Tartan Golfers Excel Against Tough Field at CIF-SS Individual Championship

Keegan Carnell and Jack McGrory had top-ten finishes on the day.
St. Margaret's Golf program again proved its competitiveness at the CIF-SS Individual Championship held at Los Serranos Golf Club on Tuesday, May 9.

Starting out in early morning brisk weather, the Tartan contingent of Keegan Carnell, Roy Cheng, Cameron Danz and Jack McGrory competed against 110 of the top high school golfers in the southern section. St. Margaret's golfers battled hard and were rewarded with top-half finishes for Danz (76, +2) and Cheng (78, +4) and top-10 results for Carnell and McGrory, who both finished with 2-under-par scores of 72.

Carnell and McGrory will next compete at the Individual Southern California Golf Association Qualifier, held on May 18 at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard. Up next for the Tartan varsity squad: the CIF-SS Div. I Championships on May 15 at Cross Creek Golf Course in Temecula.
