With decisions still yet to be made by some seniors, the college-admissions process has been a successful experience so far for the Class of 2022.
With final decisions on where they will attend still yet to be made by some seniors, the college-admissions process has been a very successful experience so far for the Class of 2022.

The 124 members of the Class of 2022 have received more than 500 admission offers from more than 200 college and universities across the nation and around the world. Some of the schools accepting Tartans include Carnegie Mellon University, Johns Hopkins University, Colby College, New York University, University of California at Berkeley, University of California at Los Angeles, The University of Chicago, the University of Southern California, University of Michigan, Dartmouth College, Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University and Harvey Mudd College.

Most colleges and universities have annual May 1 matriculation decision deadline. Several members of the Class of 2022 are still making final decisions, while others decided during early admission and through athletic commitments. The seniors are supported in the college admission process throughout their Upper School experience by St. Margaret’s expert College Counseling team of Director of College Counseling Elise Rodriguez, Senior Associate Director of College Counseling Amy Warren, and Associate Director of College Counseling Erica Huerta as they now make their final decisions on where they will matriculate in the fall.

“The Class of 2022 has so much to be proud of. They have proven to be resilient, thoughtful, and full of life. The college admission process is an ever-changing landscape and this year proved to be no different,” Ms. Rodriguez said. “The Class of 2022 has navigated colleges across the country receiving increases in qualified applicants, despite standardized testing requirements being in flux as well as on-campus college visiting restrictions still being in place for most of the year. The Class of 2022 handled challenges with grace, maturity, and humor. While some members of the Class of 2022 are still making a final decision about where they will attend college in the fall, the College Counseling team could not be more thrilled. We wish each member of the Class of 2022 all the best as they make their final choice and celebrate their successes!”
