Jackson Adelman Named Academy League Athlete of the Year
Adelman caps an extraordinary career at St. Margaret's with the honor.
Jackson Adelman has been named Academy League Athlete of the Year by the Orange County Athletic Directors Association. Adelman adds the honor to an impressive mountain of high school cross country and track & field accomplishments which include:
- 2018 St. Margaret's Cross Country Athlete of the Year
- 2018 Cross Country League Champion
- 2018 CIF Southern Section Cross Country Champion
- 2018 California State Championships Runner-up
- 2018 All-CIF Cross Country
- 2018 All-County Cross Country
- 2018 All-State Cross Country
- 2019 League Champion in 800, 1600 and 3200M
- 2019 St. Margaret's Track and Field Athlete of the Year
- 2019 CIF Runner-Up at 1600m
- 2019 All-CIF Track and Field
- 2019 Cross Country League Champion
- 2019 Cross Country CIF Champion
- 2019 Cross Country California State Champion
- 2019 All-CIF
- 2019 All-County
- 2019 All-State
- 2021 Track – League champion at 1600m, 800m, 3200m, and 4x400m. #1 Division 4 ranking in 1600m and 800m. School record holder at 800m (1:56.14)

- 2021 St. Margaret's Athlete of the Year
"We have all learned so much from Jackson during his time at St. Margaret's, but the grace and poise he demonstrated over the past year was leadership at the highest level," said St. Margaret's track & field assistant coach Patrick Bendzick. "Through the delays and disappointments, he never wavered in his dedication to the sport or the school. What Jackson has done for this program can never be matched and his recognition by the league is a well-deserved honor. We all feel tremendously fortunate to have worked with him."
Adelman will receive the prestigious honor at the OCADA Athlete of the Year Celebration on Tuesday, June 8.
