Tartan Lacrosse Programs Defeat Visiting Santa Fe Christian Squads

Both boys and girls lacrosse teams picked up wins against a talented San Diego foe.
Girls Lacrosse
 
The Tartans jumped out to a commanding early lead last evening and never looked back en route to a 22-9 win over visiting Santa Fe Christian.
 
Grace Karstetter was dominant on face-offs and notched six goals and two assists to lead the Tartans.  Lauren Lam contributed five goals and two assists, while Minka Martinez had four goals and two assists in the win. The Tartans also received goals from Ally Taylor, Thalia Pollard and Olivia Young to round out the Tartan attack.
 
St. Margaret's next faces local rivals Foothill High School on the road on Thursday, April 8 and 6 p.m.
 
Boys Lacrosse
 
St. Margaret's received a solid team effort in the late-evening game against Santa Fe Christian, producing a 12-8 win. The Tartans had to scratch back from a 2-0 deficit after the first quarter before blowing the game wide open in the fourth quarter.
 
The Tartans were led by Riley Chester's four goals and three assists, with Will Stahl and Owen Binder supporting with three goals each. Makai Todd and Seth Forstot also contributed goals. The defensive effort was shored up by goaltender Sebastian Chicas (seven saves) and defensemen Hayden Chester and Halen Hickman-Goveia.
 
The Tartans take on L.A. area powerhouse Loyola on the road on Friday, April 9 at 4:30 p.m.
