Upper School Student Film Honored as Semifinalist in New York Cinematography Awards
St. Margaret’s Upper School sophomore Emmy Perry’s film Body & Soul was recently honored as a semifinalist in the New York Cinematography Awards.
Emmy wrote, directed and edited the film as part of her fall-semester work in introduction to film, a class taught by Karen Bennett. Body & Soul is under consideration in several other film festivals, as well.
The New York Cinematography Awards is a monthly film competition for filmmakers worldwide, which culminates with annual awards ceremony in New York City in August.
Body & Soul and several other films made in St. Margaret’s cinematic arts classes will be showcased at the annual Winter Film Festival, which will take place remotely on January 28.
