PHOTOS: Upper School Play Radium Girls Informs and Entertains Audiences

The two-act production took place in the McGregor Family Theater and featured 16 Upper School students portraying 37 roles.
St. Margaret’s Upper School students performed four showings of the play Radium Girls, which explored the real-life experiences of young women who painted radium-lit watch faces and instruments for the U.S. Radium Corporation and came down with mysterious illnesses soon after.
 
The two-act production took place in the McGregor Family Theater and featured 16 Upper School students portraying 37 roles. It was directed by Darcy Rice, St. Margaret’s Director of the Arts. US student Espen Garner designed the lighting for the production.
 
The play touched on themes and moments in American history that remain relevant to this day, which were further explored by the Upper School during a recent convocation.
